Drilling an opening for extraction
A hole for an extractor is made using concrete drilling equipment. Sloop Concurrent's specialists use advanced tools that we own ourselves. We work with the best equipment to achieve the best possible result. A dust extraction system removes airborne dust immediately, helping to keep your kitchen tidy. After drilling the hole, our experts leave your kitchen swept clean.

Step-by-step guide to an extractor hood outlet
As the extractor hood is in the kitchen, a room often seen by visitors, we believe its opening should be drilled accurately and neatly. We have therefore developed a step-by-step process that our specialists follow carefully:
Measuring: Our expert carefully measures the hole required for the extractor hood and marks the dimensions so they remain visible during drilling.
Template: Our expert makes a cardboard template of the marked façade opening and uses it to mark the ventilation opening inside.
Drilling: Our expert drills the hole carefully and accurately using an advanced drilling machine.
Chiselling out: The expert carefully and precisely chisels out the drilled hole using a masonry chisel.
Cleaning: The expert cleans the drilled hole by vacuuming it out and carefully removing sharp edges.
Fitting the outlet: The specialist fits the outlet through the external wall from outside and connects it to the extractor hood's duct.
Finishing: We neatly finish the opening and leave the work area swept clean.

Cost of drilling an extractor hood hole
Sloop Concurrent offers a fixed price for drilling a hole to vent your extractor hood outdoors. We drill the hole for the competitive price of €80 including VAT. Need several holes at the same location? You save even more: each additional hole at the same location costs just €50 including VAT.
Extractor hood duct opening size
Extractor hoods are available in all kinds of types and sizes from a range of brands. They are becoming increasingly modern and therefore need to provide greater extraction capacity. A wider duct opening is important to achieve this. Nowadays, the typical duct opening for an extractor hood is at least 150 millimetres. We normally drill this with a 162-millimetre diamond core bit. This ensures the duct can always be installed straight and leaves enough space around it for a careful, effective seal.
