What exactly does demolition involve, and how do we work?
Demolition work means dismantling or removing one or more parts of a home or building. This could involve removing a load-bearing wall or chimney, or completely demolishing a home or building down to its foundations. Demolishing a building or home is a precise job that requires the right knowledge and experience. Dangerous materials or substances, such as asbestos, may be released during demolition. Sloop Concurrent ensures that all materials and substances are removed as safely as possible and that any hazardous materials or substances are taken away immediately. Why have a commercial property or home demolished?
There are countless reasons to demolish a commercial building or home. A building may have sustained damage that has made it unstable. Demolition can be chosen to prevent further damage or unsafe situations.
Your building may no longer meet your needs, and you may prefer to construct an entirely new property instead of renovating the existing one. In some cases, a building is demolished because its style is completely different from neighbouring houses or streets. Whatever the reason for demolition, Sloop Concurrent tackles every project with commitment and brings it to a successful conclusion. Many satisfied customers have already chosen us.
Why HAVE your demolition work carried out by Sloop Concurrent
Sloop Concurrent is known for its many years of experience and expertise in demolition work. With every project, we aim to recover as much value as possible from the demolition while ensuring an environmentally responsible and safe process. We believe it is important to be personally involved in your project, so we visit the site to inspect the building to be demolished. This allows us to take the surroundings into account in advance and gain a clear understanding of the materials that will be released. We aim to dismantle materials intact wherever possible and can give many materials a second life. We do this by selling the materials on your behalf or processing them for further use. This circular approach to demolition offers many environmental benefits, and Sloop Concurrent believes contributing to this is important.

The demolition work we can help you with
Years of demolition experience and expertise enable Sloop Concurrent to take on almost any type of demolition work. The most common jobs are:
Complete demolition
By complete demolition, we mean removing an entire structure. This usually means demolishing the building down to its foundations. In some cases, the foundations must also be removed completely. We have successfully carried out both types of demolition many times for numerous satisfied customers.
Renovation strip-outs
Would you like a kitchen, toilet or kitchen demolished so that it can be renovated? We call this a renovation strip-out. Renovation strip-outs are common, and our experienced professionals aim to complete them quickly. This lets you continue your renovation promptly and keeps the time spent living with mess to a minimum.
Strip-out to the building shell
During a strip-out, the entire interior of a building is removed. Only the external structure remains intact. This allows the whole building to be redesigned and rebuilt internally, creating an entirely new property without complete demolition. Sloop Concurrent has successfully completed many strip-out projects.
Concrete drilling
Drilling holes in walls, stone, asphalt and similar materials is also known as concrete drilling. Sloop Concurrent has its own equipment for drilling through hard stone. We can drill very precisely to your requirements, creating an opening for a new extractor hood or chimney, for example.
What customers say about Sloop Concurrent
Sloop Concurrent would be nowhere without its customers. This is what our customers have to say about us.
Sloop Concurrent: certifications and insurance
When you ask Sloop Concurrent to carry out your demolition work, you can look forward to a pleasant working relationship. Sloop Concurrent is well insured. We hold CAR insurance, or Construction All Risks insurance, covering material damage arising during the construction or installation of buildings, roads, bridges and systems. We have never had to make a claim on this insurance, but we prefer to be on the safe side.
Sloop Concurrent is also an accredited training company, training the skilled tradespeople of the future. All our demolition workers are trained in-house, and we do not subcontract our work. This is reflected both in the total cost and in the final result.
Asbestos must always be considered when demolishing structures. We therefore hold dNAA certification, which allows us to remove asbestos. We do so safely and responsibly.
