As the owner of a home, commercial property or shop, are you considering having your floor tiles removed? Sloop Concurrent removes floor tiles carefully to preserve any underfloor heating or screed. We can remove both glued tiles and tiles set in cement without difficulty. If required, we collect and remove the resulting rubble for you. Sanding away remaining adhesive and/or cement and levelling the floor again are available for a small additional charge. With a comprehensive service from Sloop Concurrent's experienced professionals, you can be sure of the best result!

How we remove floor tiles
Our tradespeople remove floor tiles using an electric breaker fitted with a flat chisel. This tool breaks the tiles free from their adhesive or cement. If there is underfloor heating beneath the tiles that you want to keep, the job will take longer. Extra care is then needed to remove the tiles without damaging the underfloor heating.

Removing floor tiles and underfloor heating
If you are carrying out a major renovation, you may be considering removing or replacing both the floor tiles and the underfloor heating. This is a substantial project to tackle yourself, so we do not recommend it. Removing floor tiles together with the underfloor heating or the screed beneath them is also one of our services. Where screed is involved, it is important to apply for a permit through the Omgevingsloket.

Our 100 skilled demolition workers are happy to assist, and our efficient way of working allows us to offer demolition services at affordable prices.
Every day, we help private and commercial customers demolish, renovate and repair a range of structures. This includes complete demolition, but our experienced team is equally capable of removing a load-bearing wall or chimney. We confidently describe ourselves as a full-service demolition company.

How long does floor tile removal take?
The time our tradesperson needs to remove floor tiles depends on the situation. How large is the floor, and are the tiles glued down or laid in cement? Glued tiles are easier to remove than tiles set in cement. Another important factor is whether underfloor heating is present and needs to be preserved. Our tradesperson must work more carefully if the underfloor heating needs to remain intact.

What customers say about Sloop Concurrent
Sloop Concurrent would be nowhere without its customers. This is what our customers have to say about us.
Floor tile removal costs
The cost of removing floor tiles depends on the total floor area, how the tiles were laid (glued or bedded in cement), the number of tile layers and whether any underfloor heating must be retained.
Assuming there is a single layer of floor tiles and no underfloor heating that needs preserving, the average price is €10–€18 per square metre, excluding VAT. This excludes clearing and disposing of rubble, grinding off adhesive or cement residue, and levelling.
Factors that affect floor tile removal costs
The total price of removing floor tiles depends on several factors. For example, there may be a double layer of tiles that needs to be removed completely, which is more difficult than removing a single layer.
Read here about the other factors that affect the total price:
- Floor area;
- Underfloor heating is present and needs to be preserved;
- Access to the home, commercial property or shop if you would like our tradesperson to remove the rubble;
- Removing the screed, concrete floor or sand-cement floor together with the floor tiles.
Sloop Concurrent: certifications and insurance
When you ask Sloop Concurrent to carry out your demolition work, you can look forward to a pleasant working relationship. Sloop Concurrent is well insured. We hold CAR insurance, or Construction All Risks insurance, covering material damage arising during the construction or installation of buildings, roads, bridges and systems. We have never had to make a claim on this insurance, but we prefer to be on the safe side.
Sloop Concurrent is also an accredited training company, training the skilled tradespeople of the future. All our demolition workers are trained in-house, and we do not subcontract our work. This is reflected both in the total cost and in the final result.
Asbestos must always be considered when demolishing structures. We therefore hold dNAA certification, which allows us to remove asbestos. We do so safely and responsibly.

Sloop Concurrent: other popular services
Demolition is work we carry out with passion and expertise. Below are some of the services our customers choose most often.
Frequently asked questions
You now know much more about bathroom demolition. To answer any questions you may still have, read our frequently asked questions and answers below:
To remove floor tiles, we use a demolition hammer fitted with a flat chisel to loosen the tiles from the adhesive or cement.
We aim to remove the floor tiles without damaging the underfloor heating, but we cannot give a 100% guarantee. This is simply because we cannot see how easily the floor will come up or how the underfloor heating was installed.
Our tradespeople work as carefully and accurately as possible and make every effort to preserve the underfloor heating.
The cost depends on the floor area, how the tiles were fitted, whether with adhesive or in cement, the number of tile layers, and whether underfloor heating is present and needs to be preserved. Removing a glued tiled floor starts at €10 per m2, while removing tiles set in cement starts at €13 per m2. The price per m2 may increase depending on your requirements and the circumstances.
Certainly! Many satisfied customers have chosen us before you. Removing floor tiles together with underfloor heating is a common job. We can also arrange rubble removal if required.
Removing sand-cement or concrete screeds is another common task for our expert staff. We can also handle rubble disposal if required.
Floor levelling is a frequent job for our specialists, who work carefully to achieve the best result. Our professionals discuss the levelling method, the thickness of the levelling layer and the materials needed with you.
Removing floor tiles creates noise. It is therefore a good idea to tell your neighbours about the work and when it will take place beforehand. Besides the noise, removing floor tiles generates a considerable amount of dust. We will discuss whether windows and doors can be kept open as much as possible so the dust can escape directly outside. If tiles need removing from just one room or space, we seal that area off completely. This keeps the dust contained within the room concerned.
